As a church family we want to look more and more like Jesus in how we love as we pursue him together. As we gather, we want to further understand the incredible riches of his love and grace a little more each and every time. We want to see the amazing news of forgiveness transform ourselves and the community of Ladner. We believe the world is in desperate need for good news and that the good news of Jesus is truly the best news around!

We dream of being a family where people feel like they belong with us, a family that is looking more like Jesus together, and a family that takes care of one another- both within the church and outside our walls to our greater community.

Mike is honoured and grateful for the opportunity to be able to fill in as Interim Lead Pastor at LBC. He pastored for more than 40 years, including three Fellowship churches in Markham, Ont., Prince George and Ladner, BC. He pastored LBC from 2003-2019. During that time he served on both the Regional and National boards of the Fellowship, and completed a DMin through Northwest Baptist Seminary and TWU. After “retiring” in 2019, he worked at the Fellowship Pacific office for five years, until the end of 2024.
He and Kathy met at University, got married right after graduation, and have been married for 51 years. They have four children (all married), 25 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Mike’s personal mission statement is to be a growing follower of Jesus for his whole life, and to help others become the same.

John came to Canada from Kazakhstan. He joined LBC as Youth and Media Director in November 2024. In Kazakhstan, John served in campus ministry for eight years, sharing the Gospel with unreached students. John loves music, movies, and nature.
